Sarah Boswell, Director and PreK Teacher

Sarah grew up in Oklahoma where she earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She was as a 3rd grade teacher for several years before her children were born. Sarah and her husband Jimmy have 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. They lived a few years overseas in Ireland before moving to Oregon in 2015. This is her 4th year at KOK. One thing Sarah loves when working with kids is seeing the excitement on their faces when they make connections and when they discover they CAN do something on their own! When Sarah isn't at KOK, she spends her time at her kids' ballgames and activities, traveling, and enjoys cooking.

Bretta Schwartz, 3's Teacher

Hello! My name is Bretta Schwartz, and I am the new 3's teacher. I graduated from Northwestern College with an elementary education degree and a special education endorsement. I am the oldest of five kids, and I spent many summers working as a nanny, volunteering at Vacation Bible Schools, and working at Bible Camps, so working with kids has been a huge part of my life! My husband, Drew, and I moved to Oregon a year ago from the Midwest. We are enjoying exploring the beautiful PNW by traveling, hiking, and going to the ocean on the weekends. My favorite things in this life are spending time with Jesus, spending time with Drew, talking on the phone with or going to visit my family, and spreading kindness. Some of my hobbies are singing, playing guitar, running, hiking, reading, baking/cooking gluten-free and vegan, and painting. I am so looking forward to teaching the 3's class this school year and supporting the children as they learn!
